Here is a link to the agenda of the Village of Downers Grove Architectural Design Review Board meeting to discuss designating the Fairview Ave depot a historical building. If you scroll down a fair distance (unfortunately it does not have page numbers) there’s a rather haphazard, but interesting collection of articles and photos of the depot gleaned from local sources. The reproduction is poor, they’re just photocopies, but there are a number of interesting historical views of the depot and station area, including a few of the depot that stood before 1916. Of interest to me was a 1977 article about a woman station agent (and her cat!) who lived in the building.
