I saw, on ebay, a copy of a 1945 advertisement by CB&Q talking about their use of torsion resistant rail. The ad is evidently from 1945, and the Q indicated that 30 miles of the rail had been tested for last 3 years, which means that it was in the track in about 1942. Does anyone have a clue to where this might have been. I have studied rail to a fair extent on the CB&Q alignment charts, and don't remember any TR rail from 1942.
