Mine came to rural Iowa yesterday (June 27) and is another good, balanced issue. I especially enjoy memories of former Q employees, in this case BRHS mbr Jim Christen. This brings up two issues, no pun intended: our mbrship, esp. of those who worked for &/or railfanned the Burlington dwindles with time (BN came into existence 46 yrs ago!) Thus we need to get those memories in print. Secondly, we need the membership to replace those who pass on (3 obits in this issue of long-time members). Any society is only as good as the cumulative participation of its members. There are several articles nearly ready for Zephyr or Burlington bulletin publication awaiting one last plea for more data/photos, etc. Join in! (GP-30's being one) PS - a great review of a book on the pickle & vinegar business of which CB&Q had a part including a one of a kind pickle car.
