In the 60's The "Q" came up with a "flexible" or interchangeable 52 foot flat car. During Mar thur Sept they were em- ployed to transport ag-equipment from mfg's to dealers & distributors. Then the flat cars were retuned to the NE shops were stock car frams, both single and double, were affexed and the modified cars were placed intorilive stock service. In Ur discussions are U referring to these type of flat cars? Further has The "BB" ever had an article written about this car? Later on The BN developed a combi- nation box car/covered hopper cars. Believed there were five or eight of this type of car constructed in the series of 800000 - 800008. Sadly, the cars did not achieve the promised resultse, were removed from revenue service and then do- nated to a museum in Duluth, MN. Any info on these convertible cars? stakepockets and comes with a narrow and a wide
floor, so you can model the NP, CBQ as wel as the SP&S version (series
34000-34199, blt 10-51 by PC&F, see MM June 2004).
Afaik the model was originally brought out by Aaron Gjermundson.
