I believe this is in Aurora.  The photographer is standing
in what is now the Metra parking lot, north of the roundhouse,
looking east.
The steel power pole behind the sand dome is still there, although
the crossarm arrangement has been modified over the years.
The steeple in the background matches that of St. Nicholas
Church at Liberty & High Streets.
The elevated main line is just behind the locomotive.
These features can be seen on current aerial views.
