The Fascinating Role of Chicago's Railroads in Pickle and Vinegar Market at Railroad & Shortlines Club of Chicago by David Leider Chicago led the nation in the production of pickles and vinegar from the 1880's to World war II. This program will highlight many of the Chicago companies and the importance of the railroads to their operations. David Leider is the author of the newly published "Pickle and Vinegar Makers of the Midwest" and will be signing copies. There will also be a short newscast from Bill Reynolds featuring the new Union Pearson Express between Union Station and Pearon International Airport in Toronto. He'll also show Hamilton.
