Rupert's right: none of the Q DA-6s were painted aluminum.  But C&S 706 and FW&D 263 are DA-6s, painted aluminum for Texas Zephyr service.  They were not often needed for that service and were frequently rented by the Q for specials anywhere on the system through the 1950s.

I’ve a list of aluminum painted cars but the only diners recorded are 171, 176, 307-309, 325, 326, FW&D 263, 265, C&S 706.

 I'm wondering if Bill Glick or someone else can say if any of the DA-6 Heavyweight Diners, #178-187, was repainted in aluminum paint.

 Bill, I have looked in all of your books, but there was no information that I could find that would say for sure.
