A minor correction: when redecorated and repainted in 1958, C&NW #3460 became #822, not #833, and then CB&Q #4650 in 1963, as listed by Hol.


It should be noted that all 8 of these cars were redecorated/repainted in 1958 and renumbered to the #8xx-series, but C&NW did not renumber all of their #34xx-series 56 seat chair-8 seat smokers as such; several cars each that were sold to GN and NP still had their original #34xx-series numbers.  Also, 5 of these cars (#4650-#4654) are listed as going to CB&Q in 1963, and the 3 other cars (#4655-#4657) are listed as 1964.  Also, these cars were built in 2 different Pullman-Standard Lots: #4652-#4654 and #4657 were built in 1946 in Lot #6722 to Plan #7485; #4650-#4651 and #4655-#4656 were built in 1947 in Lot #6812, also to Plan #7485.  Finally: CB&Q did purchase a ninth car from C&NW in 1963 as a parts source: C&NW #3417/#843, which was a prewar car, built in 1941 in Lot #6658 to Plan #7409A.
