Atlas just announced a new passenger car model - a Pullman 10-1-1 sleeper. Two of the cars will be "Burlington (Pullman)" cars. These are shown in the artwork has lettered PULLMAN on the car and the two car names will be "Carter Lake" and "Linoma Lake". According to the Atlas website "The 10 section - 1 drawing room - 1 compartment design of plans 3973 and 3973a were among Pullman’s many popular sleeping car configurations." I checked my data from the Pullman Project and Carter Lake and Linoma Lake were both Plan 3973a cars. Further research shows: Carter Lake was built 12-17-1929, AC installed 3-22-1935, and sold to CB&Q 12-31-1948. WFL date is listed as 5-6-1962. Linoma Lake was built 12-16-1929, AC installed 3-22-1935, and sold to CB&Q 12-31-1948. WFL date is listed as 9-15-1962. I am not sure what "WFL" stands for on the Pullman list. I thought might mean "Withdrawn From L??" so any help on that would be appreciated. I have not checked Bill Glick's books yet but thought I would post this out there for the group.
