Thanks very much Dave.  At one time Rust-Oleum made a primer red which was almost dead on for the Q Mineral Red.  Sadly no longer available. My models in 1:32 represent steam era Q equipment so I will continue the search for the mineral red.

The closest "Rattle Can" spray paint I found to my DuPont paint chip for the Q's Chinese Red is Rust-Oleum's Painter's Touch Gloss Apple Red #249124.  THe closest Gray was their Gloss Smoke Gray #7786.

What brand of Rattle Can paint matches the Q pre-Chinese Red paint and which one closest matches the Q's Chinese Red.
