FYI.
3rd Rail Division of Sunset Models is planning to produce both 2-rail & 3-rail brass O-scale versions of CB&Q O1a Mikado 2-8-2 steam locomotive. To my knowledge, this is the 1st time a 3-rail O CB&Q Mikado has ever been offered.
Road numbers #4978 (Mendota with Elesco feedwater heater) and #4960 & #4963 (Grand Canyon Railway & Il Railway Museum with Worthington feedwater heaters) will be offered.
The 2-rail radius is 56" & the 3-rail radius is 54".
Detailed, lighted backhead.
3-rail will have ERR CRUISE control with TMCC RailSounds and coil coupling.
Both versions will be compatible with Legacy, DCC, TMCC, conventional control with SuperSmoke.
MSRP = $1400.
