I believe the location for the pile driver is the bridge over the yard
lead at the south end of Galesburg's Willis Yard, better known as the "Graham
Cutoff" or the freight main into the yard. Date is the same year the
large eastbound classification yard was constructed adjacent to the
Beardstown/Quincy main. The smaller westbound classification yard wasn't
completed until 1942 (Depression delayed). Double "humps" until it
became the Frisco Northern in the 1980s.
