Oh, and the Q crosses the White River -- but not the South White River -- at Crawford, Neb.  It's near the southern end -- the origin -- of the White River, so maybe that's what the writer of the notation was referring to.

Subject: [CBQ] South White River [1 Attachment]

 

I picked up the attached image on eBay recently and on the reverse is the penciled notation, "South White is river washing under track."  I can find White Rivers in Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Texas, Vermont and Wisconsin, none of them near Q trackage.  Anybody out there have any idea where this might have been taken?
