Tom,

There are photos around showing through passenger equipment being shuttled on dinkies to the Aurora shops. But this one sounds very interesting for a few reasons,especially the Waycar ??

I ran across a very interesting photo on page 31 of Olmsted's book Of Zephyrs and Commuters. It is the westbound Morning Zephyr (train 21) pulling into Naperville in July 1965. It had 2 E8/9's, baggage, 2 domes, smooth-side coach(?), buffet/diner, 2 domes, domeless car, bi-level commuter car, caboose.


Any idea of what was going on here? Would this be equipment being transferred to Aurora?
