Yes Phil. After the 1949 suburban fleet upgrade power cars were numbered 7300-7313 according to a 1952 listing of suburban assignments in my collection. 7300 & 01 were the only two equipped with a baggage section. Most folks think these handled newspapers, but much, much more was handled in these cars and others.

There is an article coming soon entitled "Mail,Baggage and Express on the Dinkies". Stay tuned
For a detailed look at all the business handled by the dinkies besides passengers. Both revenue and non revenue.

The heavyweight car is CB&Q 7300 or 7301.  7301 came to KCMO's SHRHS thanks to William A.Rule.  Subsequent owners uncertain. I have no idea how this combination of 3 cars could have come about.  It is possible that one of the hwt cars was used for a RAGBRAI special in Iowa.

I just bought this photo and am curious about it.

>From left to right is
1) D&RGW Budd car
2) Modernized heavyweight combine with "U S Mail" and faded PULLMAN
lettering
3) RI bay window possibly 17062-17081 series in original red scheme
