Ron - Just want you to know how much I appreciate your removing the page
and scanning. What a remarkable "candid" photograph and by no less than noted
railroad photographer Richard Steinheimer. From the trailing smoke under the
bridge, strong exhaust and switchman riding the tender footboard, 580 is
backing slowly but surely with the CZ in tow. 580 was a
lignite burner from the yellow square on the rear of the coal bunker. I'm
sure the passengers in the dome observation could hear the stack talk and
watch as cinders rained down. Quite a change from the landscape vistas of
rolling prairies or snow capped mountains so closely associated with the CZ.
Wish I could've been in the dome that day, or on the station platform with
my own camera! Best Regards - Louis

Had to remove that page from the book.
That was the pound of flesh that HP made me pay.
