No one has yet responded to this, so I guess I will.
There were four Plan 3979A 8 section/I drawing room/2 compartment sleepers built by Pullman under Lot 6334 at the end of 1929 for the Aristocrat (Charles E. Perkins, George B. Harris, George W. Holdrege and John M. Forbes, named for Q officials) plus two for the Black Hawk (Cyrus Northrop and William Watts Folwell). None of the six were acquired by the Q in the 1948 Pullman break-up. Only two of them went to railroads, with the other four being retained by Pullman until their retirement.
Charles E. Perkins went to the Atlantic Coast Line in 12/1948 and was withdrawn from Pullman lease in 8/1962 and scrapped.
George B. Harris went to the NC&StL in 12/1948 and was withdrawn from Pullman lease in 7/1962 and scrapped.
George W. Holdrege was retained by Pullman and went to the New York Central in 3/1958 for scrapping.
John M. Forbes was retained by Pullman and retired in 2/1962.
Cyrus Northrop was retained by Pullman and sold for scrap in 3/1962.
William Watts Folwell was retained by Pullman and sold for scrap in 10/1962.
The four cars retained by Pullman continued in sleeping car service until the end of 1961, and John M. Forbes was photographed in service at Denver that year.

Subject: [CBQ] Pullman 8-1-2
According to Glick's Burlington Passenger Car Photo Album both the Aristocrat and the Blackhawk consists included Pullman 8-1-2's. However, none of these are listed in Glick's roster book. Did the Burlington not purchase any of these when they purchased other Pullman cars? Thanks, John Bohn
