Looking through photos of both the CB&Q and subsiquent BN era, it shows that the majority of 40' boxcars in grain service are CB&Q, GN and NP.  This makes sense since all three roads were all owned by the same person. 
 
However, were their times that the Q would see an influx of foreign cars for grain loading?  Would it historically be the same ones (like NYC or PRR after harvest in the northeast)?  Would the other midwest grainger roads offer up their cars?
