Former CB&Q executive Earl Currie passed me the following Transportation
Notice for a joint NP/CB&Q passenger train movement in 1961. Earl thought
this would be of interest to List members. It certainly shows how complex
such a movement could be and the amount of detailed planning that went into it.

Philadelphia, all lines please have Red Caps with trucks meet trains to handle
baggage to front of depot or connecting trains on truck load basis. On
departures please have Red Caps with trucks available to handle baggage on
truck load basis to train side. Settlement by Mr. Bone. Information regarding
baggage handling at St. Paul and Philadelphia will be provided.
Meets and Transfers: Passenger representatives should meet and assist Mr.
Bone on arrival and departure each stop over or transfer point.
Hotels: Arrangements made direct at Chicago, Washington, March
13-14-15-16, New York, Washington, March 19, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Denver.
Sightseeing: Arrangements made direct at St. Paul, Chicago, Philadelphia,
