Those of you who subscribe to this long-time calendar have theirs but if not,
here's what you missed:
The usual format: high quality glossy stock & superb printing of some unusual
Burlington subjects.
There are 13 pics: 5 color & 8 b/w inc. 'duotone. Subjs range from a Corbin
pic of the interior of the Congress Park Tower (a truly sharp Corbin photo) to
a CB&N 4-4-0 decked out for 4th of July in 1890's. That may be the rarest or
possibly a very old duotone view of #204556 Barnhart Ditcher with a 13 person
crew. Photographers range from Balinski, Shaughnessy, Raia, Perles, &
Vartabedian to a 1st ever Bob Stanage. The latter shows in GREAT detail G-5
0-6-0 in Omaha in "53 (Switchman on the footboard!) which matches nicely with a
similar pic of SW-1 #9132 in Burlington - details for modelers are super! My
favorite overall though is steam wrecker #204376 working a derailment: 250403
tool car (ex-baggage) is is good detail coupled to the wrecker. For the
modeler a great proto is the Nebraska Zephyr just a bit before BN meerger with
only #9969, a Budd coach & a Q flexivan flat with 2 Q trailers. A SHORT train!
The calendar retails for $12.95 & I assume a few mighrt be available @
Batavia. Gerald
