Mike: yes, FW&D had silver waycars with photos & history of all in Danniel's
"Waycar" book which there may be a very few copies left. I'll be bringing one
copy to the Spring meet that belonged to the late Bob Stanage.

PS - as BN did not fully absorb C&S and FW&D for quite awhile after the "70
merger, at least one of the silver FW&D waycars was in the pool on the C&I into
the 1980's - last Burlington waycar NOT repainted BN that I saw & photographed
in freight service. Silver paint stood up VERY well!

Slightly different question about decal set 87-1183. Would/did the FW&D have
any way cars painted silver and with this lettering/graphics? If so, any idea
of the numbering?
