Overhauled boxcars and gondolas, as well as wooden waycars and a few steel 
NE-10s began appearing in green paint in 1968.

      The SD45s were delivered in the green in January of 1969. The U23Cs were 
delivered in April of 1969 in the green scheme as well.  GP40 #629 was 
repainted into the green, but I don't have the date handy.  It was delivered in 
February of 1968 and I want to say it was the first unit in the green.

      When did the first CB&Q engines and rolling stock appear painted in 
pre-merger green?I am considering obtaining some of these engines and cars for 
my future layout which is set in the 1966-1968 timeframe. Rick Woods
