Sunset Models is taking advanced orders (reservations) for a brass S-4 Hudson with a DC/DCC QSI Titan stereo sound decoder. The pilot model is numbered 4000, and a photo is available on their web page

The O-1 Northern they announced hasn’t been released yet, so presumably they haven’t gotten enough orders to go into production. Besides price, one limitation of the Northern is 30 in. or larger minimum radius. While they haven’t said what the minimum radius will be for the S-4, I’m hopeful that it will negotiate 28 in. curves. If a Walthers 2-10-2 can handle 18 in. curves, it seems like Sunset models could at least handle 28 in. curves.

I reserved one of he S-4 Hudsons in hopes that enough Q modelers will do likewise so we can make it happen. I would have reserved one of the Northerns, but my helix radius is 29 in.
