Below the windows the car was red.  The windows had a white stripe through them, and the letter board was blue as the ends were.  Trucks and underbody were black and the roof I believe was black for two reasons, it could have started off blue but with sealer and soot I believe black would be more correct with time.  The lettering on the red BUY WAR BONDS was white and a circle at both ends of the sides under the last window was in white with a black minuteman emblem etc.   The Burlington lettering and car number in the blue were in standard heavyweight lettering.
