The Aristocrat, trains 6 and 9, was inaugurated between Chicago and Denver in December 1929.  In 1939 the name was dropped from the westbound train and it became simply No. 9, something of a local.  Eastbound No. 6 continued as the Aristocrat until the start of 1941, when it too became a local run between Denver and Chicago.  Inauguration of the Denver Zephyr in October 1936 and the Exposition Flyer in June 1939 spelled the doom of the Aristocrat.

Does anyone know the dates of the first and last runs of the Aristocrat? I have one book that says it began in December 1929 and another that says January 1930. I can't find any record of when or why it was terminated.
