You want to purchase Burlington Bulletin #27. There are a number of pictures of the scale test cars including a few in color.
I am also working on painting and decaling one in HO scale. The body is black with yellow grab irons. The railing along the top of the car is also yellow. From the picture I have, the warning sign, couplers and uncoupling levers look to be Chinese Red.
