Got the book off Amazon for $12.66 and read it last month. Really easy read and from what I know she did her homework on the CZ. I would recommend the book

Just reading the Sunday paper out here in San Jose about some new books that are worth considering. One of them is titled "Death Rides the Zephyr" by Janet Dawson and is based in the 1950's. It's a mystery story about one of the Zephyrette's and as the critic notes: "But the real star is the train, which is lovingly described, from its layout to its ingenious bedrooms to its cuisine. That's worth the price of admission."

The book sells for $15.95. I think I may have to put this on my Christmas if it's not too late.
