I am again requesting some help with old timetables, this time on the LaCrosse Divsion, between TT #43 dated 9/24/1939 and TT #53 dated 2/23/1947.
The question primarily has to do with when the sections of single track were first identified as centralized traffic control.
The single track sections were at (1) Galena Jct., (2) Ports to Crawford, (3) Herrington to Sullivan Jct. via the passenger main, (4) Herrington to CMStP&P Xing via the freight main, (5) Trevino to Mears, and (6) Prescott to Burns.
In 1939, the movement over all of these territories was described as "movement of trains in either direction will be governed by signal indication, regardless of superiority".
By 1947, all were identified as "centralized traffic control" territory, except for Galena Jct. and the passenger line at LaCrosse on which the signals had been removed.
I would be interested in what any timetables between 1939 and 1947 say about operation on these lines, either on the sub-division page or on the footnotes page, or on the speed restrictions pages (through turnouts).
