Bernard Corbin's last book "Across Iowa on the H&S/K&W" is signed (inscribed to Bob) published in 1986 and is 144 pages long with many photos not published elsewhere.
"Fast Mail at 75" was published by & for CB&Q with David P. Moran as author, DPM, long-time editor of Trains magazine, was a CB&Q fan and also authored the "Diesels West" book in coordination with the Burlington (publ. in this case by Kalmbach)
The H&StJ monograph has photos, drawings and a compedium of related Employee Timetables issued by H&StJ and then after 1904, by CB&Q (Brookfield Div) including the joint Wabash/CB&Q ETT's. To my knowledge its the only substantive publication on the Hannibal & St. Joseph.
Note: There are a number of folks on this list that are obviously new to CB&Q & lack any of the basic books that would answer many of the questions asked; now's your chance to buy them at a price YOU can live with! Just make an offer.....
Gerald
PS - there will be a few more CB&Q and non-Q RR books listed in the future; they remain in storage in Alexandria, VA but will be with me in the near future,. Bob started collecting CB&Q materials in the 1960's and subsequently had 3 different homes so there is a LOT of cartons to be serached thru yet. A labor of love...... __._,_.___
