There are others on Google re "Manufacturer's Junction roundhouse" which show photos of the roundhouse, etc.

Subject: [CBQ] Cicero Roundhouse?

Group,

Yesterday, while riding the Metra-BNSF train inbound to Chicago, just after the Cicero stop, I noticed what appeared to be an old railroad roundhouse on the north side of the tracks.  This would be northeast (slightly) of the east end of Cicero yard.  The building in question consists of five stalls, with number (1-5) above each stall, boarded up and (apparently) long disused.  I would assume this was an ex-CB&Q roundhouse?  Does anyone know the history of this structure and when it was taken out of service?

Regards,
Paul Nadolski
