[CBQ] Denver Zephyr Sign-2 [1 Attachment]

Here's a newer postcard view of the Denver Zephyr sign north of Colfax on Broadway in Denver.  This view, like the previous one I posted last week, looks north on Broadway, this time from Cleveland Place, a half block north of Colfax.  The year has to be 1955, because the Denver Tramway bus at right is a 1951 trolley bus and the Tramway discontinued trolley buses in 1955.  The Tramway has switched to the red and white color scheme following the discontinuance of streetcars in 1950.  Two blocks down Broadway the nearly complete 23-story Mile High Center rises at 17th Avenue; Denver's first modern skyscraper, it opened in 1956 after three years of construction.  The DZ sign came down in 1956, before introduction of the new DZ in October 1956.  By the time of this image, the shovelnose units were no longer in use on the DZ.
