The track serving Moser extended east from the siding on the south side of the
mains. The spur toward downtown headed south from this siding a bit father
west. The trailing points of the downtown spur faced east. The trailing points
of the inside switch for Moser faced west.

The east end way freight served Moser and every industry from Naperville to
Congress Park. Let's just say getting cars into Moser was an adventure as it
was worked eastbound. The appropriate word is "drop" into a stub end
siding.............. If you don't get them stopped they land on Washington St.
The smart crew dropped the cars onto the main and let the engine go toward
Moser and then maybe not because if the cars didn't roll uphill back onto the
main the engine was frogged. Try explaining that to the dispatcher.

Come to the BRHS fall meet at Mendota as I will be making a presentation on the
Eola based way freights and the history of service over the decades. I suspect
there will be many insights into particulars such as above.
