The Lines West HQ was in a separate building...Built in the early 1870's IIRC...It had an atrium in the center..I believe it has been restored and houses offices now..All of this from memory.
 
Maybe someone more with the NOW Omaha can correct and/or confirm

At one time the Lines West office use to be in Omaha.  Was it in the Depot??
How you going to scare passenger off if you have a grand depot?  Do like Ft. Worth Union Depot use grant money to rebuild it and then keep the doors locked so no one can see the inside.
The work in Keokuk looks like they are doing a very nice job
