It is a company service car used by the Stores Department to transport lumber from the Havelock Stores to the Kanas City rip track. By the way, the proper term for cars in this number series is "company service car" as company service cars were used by serveral departments not just the MOW Department.

I have a photo of CB&Q 211952 which appears to be a class XA-8 single sheathed boxcar, but this number doesn’t appear in the number series for class XA-8 boxcars. A door stencil reads, “For handling lumber between Havelock and Kansas City”. Is number 211952 in a MOW series? I have little information on CB&Q MOW number assignments. I’m building Sunshine kit #22.6, and I need to decide whether to build it as an XA-7 or XA-8, and also what car number to assign.
