I want to thank the gentleman at the BRHS spring meet swap table who sold me the like new book "The Men who loved Trains". It has really helpred pass the time on some long flights of recent.
If you want the real insight into how PC,Conrail,then the Conrail split came to be at the highest officer and board room levels,with honest insight into the personalities and egos involved pick up a copy. It's a fast read and despite the subject matter it's like reading an action novel. You won't learn about engine # and assgnments but rather the big picture
