[CBQ] FW: [BRHSlist] EMD F7 painted in CB&Q Colors at the Chicago Railroad Fair 1949

I recently saw the following item on eBay.  I don’t know if it is the same image as Hol referenced but it shows the “930” in full CZ F unit paint.

If anybody on this list got this item I would be tickled to have it for a Bulletin (or maybe better Zephyr) article.

Built as EMD serial #9932 10/49 (89930 sold on 6059)

demo 930 to Boston & Maine 4268

 

EMD built a F7 test unit #930 which became B&M #4268 in 1949. The CB&Q
could not spare any of the California Zephyr F3s to display at the Chicago
Railroad Fair and borrowed the unit, painted up in Burlington Silver
passenger colors, to display with the CZ cars as they were delivered.

Hol Wagner saw a publicity photo on eBay about a year ago but did not win
the item and didn't save a copy of the image. Did any list member get this
or have a similar image? Not for any particular project, but just as a
matter of interest and possible future use.
