We've read and enjoyed the memories of some of our senior members, along with memories that have been passed down to more junior members, but we rely on them being typed into an e-mail for circulation.  It is now 43 years since the demise of the Burlington so the experiences are fading as are the men and women who hold these precious memories. There is only a limited time to grab this history before it is lost for ever.

Has anyone considered making an audio record of these memories, or seeking out ex-CB&Q employees to record their memories? An audio record doesn't rely on typing, spelling or grammatical skills, or even access to a computer.  Is this something that the BRHS could support, possibly by buying and loaning the audio recorders, or assisting with the subsequent transcribing.

I'm a bit far away to get involved, which makes it easier for me to suggest such a project!  Thoughts?
