Thanks, Ken. This is just what I needed to match trucks and road numbers on my three models. It looks like I reversed ASF and Barber on my original list. They’re not as easy to identify in the photos as the National trucks. As for mechanical hand brakes and ladder stiles, I’ll go with the information from the photos. After thinking about it, I may have introduced the A and B designators when I saved the original file to disk, because I remember going back and renaming the files using the road number some days later when I was organizing downloaded and scanned photos.

The 1956 folio book lists them all as one class however there is a note on the trucks.

 

28000-28224 - ASF spring plankless truck #58-c (Holl. snub)

28225-28324 - Barber stabilized truck #63 (no snubber)

28325-38399 - ASF spring plankless truck #58-c (sym snub)

28400-28599 - National truck no. 56-b (cardw snub (p-b-1)
