One thing I forgot to add to my initial post - I can't make out the lettering
below the "Danger" line other than a few words. Anyone know what the entire
message states?

Long ago I built the boom tender using an Athearn 50' gon. Using the Bulletin
pictures for a guide I cut the sides to represent the openings and built up the
center storage box using styrene. Some square covered hopper hatches were used
for the side access doors and I added wire grabs and rails. The boom cradle was
built using Plastruct shapes. Overall I think it turned out well, but by todays
standards it would probably garner a few snickers, but it has the right feel.
Doing it over I would probably use a longer Tangent gon and smaller structural
shapes.

I'm just going to convert an old flatcar as seem to have been used with most(?)
of the 150 ton cranes for now. Maybe later I will modify a gondola, which
would be more accurate for the 250 ton cranes per the photos I have seen.
However, in BB#18, page 56 shows what appears to be a flat car as the boom car
for 204375.
