From July 1957 to February 1965, the ex-1936 Denver Zephyr semi-articulated trainsets were used. An excellent source of information and pictures is Steve Allen Goen's book Fort Worth & Denver Color Pictorial (1996) from Four Ways West Publications.

I was 20 when the Zephers were discontinued so I don't remember many details, but if you go to the burlington route historical society www.burlingrout.com/docs/rosters/stainlessname.html , an of the cars with Owner C&S or FWD could have likely been on one of the two trains.  The two lines shared most of their passenger equipment.
