It is a sad deal. In that we have this kind of scam. It's fairly common though. It's been all over 60 Minutes and other shows.

At 11:46 am CDT a message went from "Mike" to everyone on his email list, apparently. Note the return email has a one letter difference in spelling of his last name & his email. Obviously a scan & a reminded to all of us to use a complex password AND change it periodically.
(There'as a lot to be said for "old-fashioned" letters; I always know from the cancel and handwriting it's the real deal!
