I also. Way too much Crazy Frank (Vandy). Way too cold standing in waist deep snow passing signals. ------Original Message------ From: Leo Phillip Sender: CBQ yahoo To: CBQ yahoo ReplyTo: CBQ yahoo Subject: [CBQ] CB&Q photos from the 60s Sent: Jul 28, 2012 5:34 PM Larry, Wonderful photos ! Your two shots "In the clear" and "possibly Mendota again" of the Q GP7.... 255 are taken at Rochelle,IL.Your looking east from the depot platform. The 255 is in what we referred to as "the Pocket" Its between 2 switches off main #1. The road switchers tied up at that spot between shifts. The track to the far right coming off main 2 was called the "Kennedy". If this were Mendota to the right would be stock yards and an elevator. Also if it was Mendota to the left would be the "North" yard. Spent a lot of time in Rochelle during the 70's from 6PM to 6AM.
