DEFINITELY catch Des Plaines Hobbies...IMHO one of the half-dozen best model RR shops in the country. It's also accessible by public trans....the Pace #250 bus, which begins at the Davis St. (Purple line-Evanston) CTA station, stops at the Skokie Swift (Yellow line) station, and ends at O'Hare, runs right by the shop.
