There is a question on the Mopac group regarding the assignments of the Mopac's 5 bedroom lounge cars. These were lightweight cars built by ACF in 1948. It is mentioned in the TRRA's "Pullmans to St. Louis" that the cars were assigned to the CB&Q, but no details are given. Spoor's Color Guide pg 34 seems to show one of the cars in Twin Zephyr service in a photo dated 1964. I believe that I have seen other photos of the cars in Q service. Questions from the Mopac group are as follows: 1. What role did the cars serve while on the CB&Q? It seems that the Twin Zephyrs should have had adequate lounge and parlor capacity at this time. What were they used for? 2. What dates did the cars serve on the CB&Q? 1964-1966 is the likely time period. 3. Were the cars assigned to any other trains?
