On a trip to Detroit, Mich. in the early fall of '68 I saw a train eastbound thru Dearborn on the NYC Main but was not in a position or had any camera equipment to catch it.

I was reading in Mike Spoor's Volume 4 and noticed the NYC at times ran thru power on the CD.  Did the power get cut off at Galesburg or run all the way thru to Lincoln, Grand Island or Denver?

Thanks, Ricky

Ricky,

There's a shot in an early '67 issue of "Trains" that shows NYC power at Aurora, on what is described as a new run-through freight between Elkhart and Galesburg,
the "NYQ".   But I wouldn't be surprised if NYC power went farther west as well, as PRR power did.
