The Platte River bridge is indeed the old Q bridge, and it's about the only trace of the railroad left in the Kearney area.  The depot (south of the UP and just east of the main street) has been gone since the 1980s.

A couple of miles south of town there is a city ( or county?) park with a bridge that crosses the Platte River.  It is a trail within the park.  I think it is the original CB&Q bridge.

I'm going to have  couple if hours of free time Tuesday to explore any Q relics remaining in or around Kearney.
Wondered if anything still exists?
Thanks,
