All- Please forgive the blanket posting, but we're coming up empty out here so we've decided to cast the net as wide as possible! The Northwest's own Kent Sullivan is looking for data on the Swift Train Order, which appears to have been patented late in 1885. (Kent notes that cast onto the base is a patent date of 10/27/1885.) He is specifically looking for Northern Pacific Chief Engineer's Plans, Sheets 264 and 265 Details of Target Signals: DIZ-16. A plan or schematic published by Swift, or reproduced in a trade journal, might also suffice. If you have such an item in your collection, or know of a reference we could track down, or an individual who might be a good lead for the same, please let me know.
