[CBQ] Murray Iron Works Buildings

Starting this morning the Murray Iron Works building at Central and Washington Streets here in Burlington Iowa are being torn down due to flooding that destory the inside of the building.With the Building gone that is going to open up that curve there more diffeernt angles of pictures off the central and washington street bridge.The city aquired the buildings in 2005-2007 time frame in order to keep DResser Rand in town and not lose about 300 workers.along comes the flood in 2008 that dump more rain up the hill from these burlingtons then hawkeye sewer could handle.to the water then came down on top of the tracks by 6"-12" deep floating on the brand new wood ties that had not been oinstalled yet.most of them floating down jefferson street as far as seventh street and flooding all the building along jefferson street
