Randy,
Correction to my earlier post. The GP40 painted in the pre merger paint scheme was GP40 no. 629 and it was the only Q locomotive painted by the RR in the pre merger scheme. There is a photo of it on p. 61 of Mike Spoor's CB&Q In Color Volume #4. It was painted in the hockey stick scheme with a black top, white mid section and green lower portion. The photo shows it quite dirty so the shade of green is not discernible.

Randy,
If you are referencing pre merger, there were no SD45s to be painted at West Burlington. The only SD45s that the Q had came from EMD with the pre merger hockey stick paint scheme. They were not repainted until after the merger. The only locomotive that the Q painted in a pre merger paint scheme was a GP40. I believe it was no. 673. That may have been done at West B.

John Deere green is exactly what the SD45's were painted at West Burlington. Saw the process, the 55 gallon drums, sampled the paint to John Deere paint from Siems Farm Eqpt the local JD dealer, saw the finished product and painted one at that time for a rr function in Burlington.
