According to the Jan 1916 TT, train 55 "Missouri Limited". The TT refers to this schedule as the "Chicago - Quincy - St. Joseph - Kansas City"

Lv Chgo 6:10 PM ar Kansas City Mo 8:00 AM. There is no reference to nor any stop at St Louis. 

Equipment is described as"

 "Daily Electric-lighted. Between Chicago and Kansas City, observation-library and compartment-drawing-room sleeping cars, chair car and dining car. Between Chicago and St. Joseph, standard drawing-room sleeping car and chair car"
